Run Lola Run Activity 1 : Friday homework

Explore as many of the links below as you can, making brief notes on (a) the range of techniques mentioned (b) the effect / intended effect of these on shaping viewer response (ie how film techniques designed to make us think and feel; how these techniques may engage, amuse, interest, stimulate us etc).

Run Lola Run Activity 2 : Monday homework yet to be set. Depends what we cover in class on Monday.

Exam Question

Your exam on Weds Week 8 (Periods 3 and 4) will consist of approximately 20 minutes of viewing a segment from Run Lola Run. You will be given the essay question just before viewing this extract. You are encouraged to make notes during your viewing. Following the viewing you will have one hour to respond to the question in essay form. YOU MAY BRING FILM LANGUAGE  TERMINOLGY NOTES (only the ones I distributed in class) TO REFER TO. As mentioned previously in class, the question will relate to the director's use of film techniques to shape specific viewer responses. Precisely what responses are being shaped will be specified in the question on the day.
